PA Police Chief On Trial For Indecent Assault Of Minor

At first our staffers thought --REALLY??? Someone in Pennsylvania in authority actually got charged for doing something wrong???? He was suspended for doing wrong things? It's going to TRIAL??? It involved doing something bad to a kid? We need to look into this immediately, simply because it is so uncommon in Pennsylvania.

You can read the article here.

Oh wait, it's in Scranton, where the Cash for Kids Scam happened and now everyone is concerned about appearing honest and protective of kids. That explains it.

Another staffer  pointed out that there is actually more to the story. This incident supposedly happened over a decade ago and the statute of limitations has expired. That is 2 years in PA. What's really going on here? And why did it take 10 years for this to come to justice????

Ah, Pennsylvania. Where rules apply to some people, and then not to others in some situations, maybe some of the time. Perhaps.

  1. A neighbor in Berks had something similar happen to her daughter. The cops said that she was over 14 and that was the age of consent in PA. The cops refused to do anything--even press charges against the guy. End of story. Sounds like this case is nothing more than political drama. The guy will get away with it.
