CLA Quote of the Day: Bar Associations' Role in Court Corruption "Society has been kidnapped by legal professionals." Bill Scheidler The trial lawyers association: Holding our courts hostage http://bit.ly/HostageCourts "...The 'trial lawyers association', for all intents and purposes, runs this country...they have enough hand-picked lawyers on the Bar Associations, in the legislature, in judicial positions and on various commissions, boards and other influential positions to control the corrupt courts we are forced to endure. ...Our justice system IS lawyers...they’re the ones making the law, the ones practicing law, the ones controlling the courts, they’re basically controlling legislation on all levels...Lawyers set the rules, interpret the rules, administer the rules, and impose penalties if they feel the rules have been broken. ...The horror is that if you have a complaint, you have to complain to the very system that is engaged in the very crimes or the conduct that you’re complaining about. So they have it pretty well orchestrated. They have their people in the right positions. ...The law means nothing. The only time it means something is when they can use it against you. You’re outside the good ole boys club. You’re not part of the inner circle...They don’t care if they [violate laws] because nobody is going to do anything to them about it. They’re all making money. They don’t care. ...Not every attorney is on board with this….there are dozens who have been bitten trying to correct this corrupt system and they just simply melt back into the woodwork. They don’t want to do any more because once bitten, you know, that’s their livelihood. The Bar Associations have control over—all they have to do is to disbar the person and the person loses their livelihood."
This has basically been our experience. In fact, some members of BCCYS who called to complain about the actions of certain lawyers have been threatened. Read more about that herehttp://berkscountynewsnetwork.blogspot.com/2013/09/bcnn-staffer-threatened-by-staff-at.html
